Technician II - ServiceThe Technician II - Service will be responsible for servicing electronic security systems from leading manufacturers such as Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone and Avigilon.
Responsibilities:
- Service and maintenance of integrated security systems including access control, CCTV and alarms
- Troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software of our integrated systems
- Work with manufacturers technical support teams to resolve system issues
- Consistently provide high levels of customer service
- Provide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork, and assist with as-built documentation
- Adhere to Bosch's Quality and Safety program
- Be prompt, enthusiastic and take direction from the service team, and operations
- Be available and willing to participate in a after hours On-Call rotation
- Build confidence with clients and stakeholders and enhance the organizations reputation throughout the industry
- Perform other tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 Years of experience as a Service Technician in the security, electronics, telecommunication, or IT industry
- Proven service experience of complex physical security systems such as Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, Milestone, etc.
- Post-secondary training in electronics or equivalent
- Experience with the following systems and technologies are an asset: IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Access Control, CCTV (IP and Analog), Intrusion Systems, Client-Server security applications.
- Valid Drivers License with clean abstract
- Able to work independently
- Strong command of the English language along with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of productivity and profitability of the work carried out
- Willingness and capability to learn and develop
- Able to pass varying levels of security clearance
- Available to complete out-of-town workon an ad hoc basis
- Personal hand tools required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent.
- Experience working in commercial environments such as healthcare, education, or hospitality.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
