JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
-
High school completion and/or professional equivalent. A Masters in Divinity or related degree or Bachelor’s Degree and experience is preferred. Acceptable equivalents include a degree in psychology or counseling. Certification by an appropriate clinical pastoral agency preferred. Membership with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains desirable or other Associations of Professional Chaplains, Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred, bilingual skills to communicate in multiple languages preferred.

Experience
-
Two to three years’ experience in a hospital/Hospice setting preferred. Solid communication and relational skills and ability to interact positively with a diverse audience.

Physical
-
Normal Hospital environment. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Frequent walking.

JOB SUMMARY

- Provide pastoral support for hospital patients, families and staff with compassion. Is knowledgeable of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services.
