Facilitates the patient flow, including such activities as patient identification, gathering demographic information, securing financial and third party insurance data and entering registration data. Verify and pre-cert insurance as necessary. Establish patient financial responsibility and assist in resolution through establishment of payment agreement or assist in financial assistance applications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Three years previous medical office experience preferred
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Knowledge of filing & office systems
- Ability to organize work and handle multiple projects/priorities
- Demonstrates professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- One year previous pre-certification, registration, billing and collections experience preferred
- Ability to operate fax, copier, and scanner required
