Are you an experienced Ultrasonic Testing professional looking to apply your skills in a dynamic and customer-focused environment? LTI is looking for a UT Level II Technician to conduct ultrasonic inspections of materials using Contact UT and Specialty Shapes techniques, both at our facility and on-site at customer locations. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced inspection equipment, support critical quality assurance processes, and contribute to delivering exceptional service and reliable results to our customers.
This role is based in Hatfield, PA. This is a first shift role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs ultrasonic inspection and testing of materials as assigned by the Contact UT & Specialty Shapes Team Leader.Performs ultrasonic inspections at customers’ facilities.Acts in a professional manner promote and protects, LTI’s reputation while performing ultrasonic inspections at LTI’s customers’ facilities.Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with test requirements.Ensures that the test equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any tests. Inform Contact UT & Specialty Shapes Team Leader whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.Unpacks materials received for testing and repackages the materials for shipping after testing has been completed.Travel safely to and from LTI for field inspections, following all driving laws while in transit to and from the inspections.Accurately and legibly serializes all material and marks rejected areas when applicable to ensure accurate traceability to the ultrasonic test chart recording.Communicates job details to fellow ultrasonic technicians and department Team Leader as needed.Meets testing schedule as directed by department Team Leader and communicates if issues arise that may jeopardize testing deadlines.Assists with maintaining test equipment, which includes cleaning of equipment and performing preventative maintenance as scheduled.Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.Always complies with all company policies and procedures.Always follows all safety rules and regulations and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the department Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school desired.Minimum of 5 years’ UT Level 2 experience required. Progressive experience in a related work environment that demonstrates increased levels of responsibility is preferred.Certificates, licenses and registrations required: UT Level 2 Certification (See LTI Requirements).Computer skills required: Basic computer knowledge and use of computers is required, in order to learn NDT1Forklift experience and ability to obtain LTI Forklift certification
Valid Driver’s License Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move material of varying weight and occasionally lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must meet citizenship eligibility required by accrediting bodies.
This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
