Maintenance Lead – Warehouse
Location: Tabor City, NC
Pay: Depending on experience
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Some Fridays may be required based on production needs
- Must be available to train on 1st Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Lead to join our warehouse team in Tabor City, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, be self-motivated, and work independently to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while promoting a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on warehouse and production equipment.
- Diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs to restore machines to proper operating condition.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Follow all written Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Zero Energy procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs in the computerized maintenance database.
- Safely operate lift trucks and other material handling equipment of various sizes.
- Maintain and properly care for company tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Keep the maintenance shop and work areas clean and organized.
- Work independently while effectively communicating with production and warehouse personnel.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in resolving maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of industrial or warehouse maintenance experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks or willingness to become certified.
- Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance records.
- Trustworthy and responsible when using company tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in a warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Must be available to train on 1st Shift before transitioning to 2nd Shift.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required.
