CT TechnologistResponsible for performing Computed Tomography (CT) and general radiographic (X-ray) examinations utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Provides direct patient care to patients of all ages while ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and supports continuity of patient care. Assists with the clinical training and mentoring of Radiologic Technology students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and X-ray procedures in accordance with department protocols and physician orders
- Ensure accurate patient identification and proper exam preparation
- Provide safe, compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Maintain image quality and adhere to radiation safety standards
- Monitor and operate imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other departments to support patient care
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in training and mentoring students and new staff
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Associate degree preferred
- ARRT certification required (or registry eligible, if applicable)
- CT certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Current BLS certification required
Schedule:
- Overnight shift: Mon-Thurs 8pm-6:30am
- Includes holiday rotation as needed
