Geotechnical Drilling Operator (CDL A Required)
We are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Drilling Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate one of our CME geotechnical drilling rigs and perform subsurface exploration services for a variety of projects.
This position requires a strong safety mindset, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions.
Key Responsibilities

Operate CME geotechnical drilling rigs safely and efficiently

Perform drilling using solid stem augers, hollow stem augers, and wire-line coring techniques

Conduct California sampling and Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) at client-specified intervals

Install monitoring wells and inclinometers as required for project needs

Work closely with an assigned driller helper to complete drilling operations

Follow all company safety procedures and project specifications
Equipment & Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on drilling rigs and related equipment

Assist with equipment repairs, including auger welding when necessary

Ensure rigs and tools remain in safe and working condition

Complete maintenance during lighter drilling schedules or weekends when required
Schedule & Work Environment

Workdays typically start early in the morning and may extend until evening depending on project needs

Work is performed outdoors in varying weather and site conditions

Occasional out-of-town travel and night work may be required
Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Ability to pass a drug screening

Ability to pass a federal background check

Experience operating geotechnical drilling equipment preferred

Ability to work early mornings and extended hours when required

Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safe drilling practices
Compensation details: 30-40 Hourly Wage
