Position Summary
The Education Coordinator manages and coordinates pricing requests from educational institutions requiring contract-based and government-regulated pricing. This role also oversees USDA-compliant menu development and support for school customers.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as SGC's subject matter expert on school nutrition guidelines and regulations
- Partner with DSRs to educate on nutritional requirements and compliance standards
- Develop and manage school menus on a monthly, semester, or annual basis ensuring USDA compliance
- Maintain and update nutritional label databases for school-specific products
- Provide customer support to school accounts, including order updates and menu changes
- Assist customers with state review and approval processes for school menus
- Act as internal resource for DSRs regarding school pricing and nutrition programs
- Receive, organize, and complete school bid pricing requests
- Partner with Pricing Coordinators to ensure accurate pricing on awarded bids and compliance with bid requirements
- Develop and maintain specialty product category lists (e.g., Smart Snacks, Whole Grain, Gluten-Free, etc.) for school customers
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to build strong relationships and support growth within the school segment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate data effectively
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Work is performed in a standard office environment using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
