What You'll Do
As an Extrusion Press Operator, you'll help produce high-quality extruded metal products using extrusion press equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll
- Set up and operate extrusion press machines
- Load materials and prepare equipment for production
- Monitor temperatures, speeds, and machine performance
- Inspect products to make sure they meet quality standards
- Use measuring tools like calipers and gauges
- Make machine adjustments as needed
- Perform cutting and finishing work
- Move materials using cranes and forklifts
- Keep production records organized and accurate
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Strong mechanical skills and willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to read work instructions and production drawings
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
Physical & Work Environment
- Hot and noisy manufacturing environment
- Standing and moving for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
