Childcare Assistant TeacherA staff member who works under the direction of a lead teacher. Assistant teachers will be part of a classroom teaching team. Assistant teachers will be responsible for carrying out the age appropriate
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
- Must be 18 years of age and meet the following criteria:
1.Completed high school education or at least a junior enrolled in:
- An early childhood education or child development career technical program.
- A child development associate (CDA) training program or achieved a CDA credential for the age group in which the high school student is working.
- Provide verification of education on or before the childcare staff member’s first day of employment.
- Must pass BCI, FBI, and all other related background clearance as mandated by Holzer Health System and ODJFS for childcare center licensing.
- Must maintain all annual health and safety training required by Holzer Health System and the ODJFS licensing requirements (i.e. First Aid, CPR, and Child Abuse courses for identification and reporting).
