Position Overview
The Overnight Kitchen Supervisor manages kitchen sanitation staff, ensuring compliance with health codes and cleanliness in food service areas. This role provides hands-on leadership during overnight shifts, holding team members accountable to TSC's high standards of hygiene, safety, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct overnight kitchen sanitation staff across all food service areas
- Ensure strict compliance with local health codes, food safety regulations, and TSC standards
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift inspections to verify cleaning completeness
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide real-time coaching to team members
- Escalate equipment issues, chemical supply needs, or staffing concerns to management
- Maintain accurate logs and completion reports for nightly sanitation activity
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and pride in the workplace
Qualifications
- Prior experience in kitchen sanitation, stewarding, or food service operations required
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of health codes and food-safe cleaning practices
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a high-volume environment
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification a plus
