The Inside Commercial Roofing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial inside sales operations to ensure efficient project execution, customer satisfaction, and alignment with company profitability goals. This position serves as the key liaison between sales, purchasing, logistics, and operations teams, exercising independent judgment in decision-making related to pricing strategy, vendor selection, and project coordination. The role requires a high degree of initiative, analytical ability, and strategic oversight of commercial accounts and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations of inside commercial sales activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies and customer quotations in coordination with sales leadership, exercising discretion within established profit margin guidelines.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and authorize purchases within defined limits to ensure optimal cost and delivery outcomes.
- Serve as the primary internal contact for major commercial customers, managing complex orders, delivery schedules, and project specifications.
- Analyze customer trends, sales data, and inventory performance for recommendations.
- Collaborate with the outside sales and operations teams to forecast demand, manage project timelines, and anticipate potential issues.
- Review and approve order exceptions, credit adjustments, and freight arrangements when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Lead coordination efforts between departments to resolve escalated issues and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of large commercial projects.
- Support management with special projects, budgeting input, and performance reporting related to inside sales and customer experience initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sales coordination, project management, or business operations (roofing, building materials, or construction industry preferred).
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to act independently on complex issues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/CRM systems.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement or operational planning
