About the role
The Crater assembles crates and frames to ensure products are securely packaged and protected from damage during storage, handling, and transport. This role ensures that all crating meets product specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
What you'll do
- Assemble wooden crates according to product specifications.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately to protect doors and frames during handling and transport.
- Inspect crates to ensure quality and stability.
- Report any issues or defects to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in cross-functional roles and departments for related projects.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
- Experience following standard operating procedures and workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
- Woodwork experience is an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Extensive and long periods of standing.
- Ability to lift 23 kilograms (50lbs), including metal materials
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment for long periods, including safety glasses and ear protection
- This position is on site.
This position is to fill an existing vacancy.
Hourly base wage of $23.37 – $25.24
