Imaging Assistant-RWMC
Summary: Under the direction of the Lead Technologist, the Imaging Assistant is responsible for assisting in Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Departments. The Imaging Assistant will support technologist with the performance of exams such as moving patient to exam table, positioning of patient, retrieving films and supplies, transporting of patient when necessary, obtaining patient information and screening of patient. Position involves interaction with various physician s offices and nursing floors and order entry into RIS (Radiology Information System). The Imaging Assistant must show clinical competence in direct patient care during DI procedures.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Licensure: CPR Certification Required. CNA license preferred.
Experience: Computer experience, medical terminology.
Skills and Abilities:
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs.
