Annual salary range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00
Job Purpose:
- Meet and exceed revenue goals through new business development and growth of existing accounts.
- Achieve a minimum of 90% productivity goals and 100% activity goals set by management.
- Focus at least 90% of work time on revenue-generating sales activities.
- Execute a results-driven direct sales program aligned with departmental budgets and marketing plans.
- Conduct high-value sales calls targeting top revenue opportunities.
- Travel locally for client meetings and site visits (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
- Maximize revenue from existing clients by identifying growth opportunities.
- Proactively capture competitor business through networking, research, and market intelligence.
- Generate referrals from current clients and follow up on all leads within 48 hours.
- Maintain a targeted account “hit list” to drive consistent pipeline growth.
- Prospect for new business through outreach, telemarketing, and innovative strategies.
- Apply yield management principles to negotiate profitable room rates and event space agreements.
- Optimize revenue while maintaining a win-win approach with clients.
- Build strong relationships through consistent, professional, and ethical communication.
- Maintain an organized and accurate client management system (CRM/files).
- Develop detailed customer profiles and maintain follow-up (trace) systems.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to all client inquiries and needs.
- Continuously research market trends, competitors, and territory opportunities.
- Leverage insights to position the hotel’s strengths and increase market share.
- Represent the hotel and company with integrity, professionalism, and a service-first mindset.
- Maintain a polished, business-appropriate appearance at all times.
- Foster positive communication and teamwork across all hotel departments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards preferred.
- College Degree preferred.
