Radiology Systems Administrator (RSA)The RS Administrator's main function is to oversee the operation of the RS systems. RSA verifies that critical Radiology Systems' processes have occurred (scheduled operations, backups, rebuilds, archives, etc.) and addresses exceptions appropriately. When not performing duties directly related to managing the RS the RSA will be utilized in other applicable duties as assigned by the Director of Ambulatory Radiology Services.
Education and Work Experience
1. Associates or Bachelor degree in Radiology-related field preferred or comparable experience in the radiology field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Radiology related job description.
3. Ability to function in at least one radiology established position to the Manager's satisfaction.
4. Current experience with Holzer PACS and Radiology Information System preferred.
5. Minimum 5 years of experience with a Radiology Information System or PACS preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Current understanding of the operations of a Radiology department.
2. Understands current JCHO, MQSA, HIPAA, State (OH, WV) and ACR guidelines.
3. Ability to plan and maintain the physical layout of the PACS//RIS.
4. Ability to work with IT support at problem isolation, resolution and escalation, as well as all aspects of backup and recovery.
5. Ability to provide administrative support for the system, system maintenance, updates, and fixes, in coordination with IT support personnel.
6. Ability to perform system installation tasks and upgrades at all Holzer locations.
7. Ability to train and update all users, including Radiologists, Technologists, referring physicians and image library personnel.
8. Ability to work with IT support personnel on interfaces to other clinical systems. (i.e.: PACS, RIS, Touchworks, and Paragon)
9. Ability to travel to all Holzer campus locations and refer physician offices as needed.
10. Ability to review PACS/RIS reports, e.g. patient tracking, work flow.
11. Ability to provide input to PACS/RIS policies and procedures.
