Program AssistantPosition Summary
Young Women’s Program for Cancer Care (YWPCC) Program Assistant provides administrative support to the patients and providers of the YWPCC. The Program Assistant serves as a point of contact for cancer patients 50 years of age or younger enrolled in the YWPCC, their caregivers, and providers. This role supports guiding patients and families to access internal and external supportive resources, administrative processes, and non-clinical coordination to ensure a seamless experience throughout the care journey.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Serve as the central administrative contact for patients, caregivers, and providers within the YWPCC.
- Assist in scheduling and expediting appointments with multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate referrals and supportive services as needed.
- Maintain communication with ancillary departments for testing and follow-up logistics.
- Develop, update, and adhere to lay navigation protocols in conjunction with program leadership.
- Act as a liaison between patients and supportive care services (such as social work, nutrition, transportation, financial counseling, community resources, etc.).
- Under direction, support the development and implementation of patient education tools, support groups, and informational sessions.
- Connect patients and families with community partners, including organizations such as Gilda’s Club, the American Cancer Society, and the Cancer Support Team.
- Assist with website content updates and program-related communications.
- Support program participation in community outreach presentations and events.
- Track, organize, and report program statistics and metrics as required by accrediting bodies.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and program improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with administrative standards related to program navigation and survivorship care.
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in healthcare administration, program coordination, or related field strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Spanish language skills preferred.

Compensation varies based on years of experience $53,840.67 to $80,782.07
