Maintenance Lead Do you thrive on fixing, improving, and leading? Join our team as a Maintenance Lead and play a key role in keeping our operations safe, efficient, and dependable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily work of maintenance team members, including task prioritization and delegation
- Address minor disciplinary issues and escalate serious issue to the Plant Engineering Manager
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment, building systems, and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs
- Collaborate with operations to set work priorities and determine required resources and skill sets
- Plan work assignments based on system needs, team skills, and workload demands.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for complex maintenance issues.
- Inspect completed work and maintain accurate documentation of labor, materials, and resources.
- Promote safety by coordinating initiatives, ensuring contractor compliance, correcting hazards, and reducing downtime through preventive maintenance practices.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment and building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to identify maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Capability to plan and manage maintenance schedules effectively
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Trade school plus experience may be considered in lieu of diploma.
- Previous experience using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS) or other maintenance management systems for work orders, scheduling, reporting, and inventory tracking
