DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
Perform daily operational functions including: opening procedures and closing procedures of the coffee shop. Demonstrates the ability to use POS cash register system and the ability to make proper change, handle credit cards, employee deductions and coupons. Adheres to all cash handling procedures. Ensure accurate inventory and ordering of products. Handle and prepare food in accordance with HACCP regulations. Properly store, label and date all items according to regulatory compliance. Must follow proper recipes for coffee drinks according to CHC’s recommendations and procedures. Demonstrate use and cleaning method of the espresso machine and other coffee shop equipment. Must maintain Grab N Go stock and cleanliness. Must adhere to all sanitation practices for entire operation. Must work independent and work effectively under pressure. Serves customers with a great attitude and works as a team with other staff as required. Gives excellent customer service. Dresses according to hospital and department policy. Must have Serve Safe certification. You may be required to fill in and you may perform tasks that are not part of normal function but are essential to the department operation. This position works independent of direct supervision and must represent the department in a positive manner at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Must have previous cashier experience.

Must have at least 1-year previous Barista experience.

Must have the mathematical ability to solve problems and accurately count money.

Must be able to read and write English.

Must have current Serve Safe Food Safety certification or must be obtained within six months of hire.
