About The Role
The Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor is a part-time, hourly leadership position within our Rooms department (housekeeping), responsible for overseeing weekend housekeeping operations and ensuring a consistently clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. This role requires previous housekeeping experience and is ideal for someone looking to grow into or continue in a supervisory capacity. You will lead the weekend housekeeping team on Saturdays and Sundays, supporting staff, monitoring room quality, and maintaining departmental standards. There is also the possibility of additional hours during the week working as a housekeeper when not scheduled in a supervisory role.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and coordinate housekeeping operations on Saturdays and Sundays for the 40 Rooms department
- Assign daily room and task schedules to housekeeping staff and ensure coverage for all required areas
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and adherence to company standards
- Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient, high-quality work
- Assist with hands-on cleaning duties as needed to support the team and maintain productivity
- Monitor supply levels, report shortages, and help maintain proper inventory of linens, cleaning products, and equipment
- Communicate effectively with front desk, maintenance, and management to address guest needs and resolve issues promptly
- Document and report any housekeeping, safety, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate parties
- Support training of new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and property standards
- Work additional hours as a housekeeper when not scheduled as weekend supervisor, as business needs allow
Qualifications
- 1+ year of housekeeping experience in hospitality, residential, or similar environments
- Previous housekeeping experience required; prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays as the designated Housekeeping Supervisor
- Willingness and availability to work additional hours as a housekeeper when not supervising, based on operational needs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to address guest and staff concerns professionally
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
