The role:
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to lead the day-to-day accounting operations of a high-growth SaaS company. This role is responsible for owning key accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong controls across cash, prepaid assets, payables, and commissions in a remote work environment. The successful candidate will also directly manage two accountants, requiring a blend of technical expertise and leadership.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
General Ledger & Financial Close
Assist with daily general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisActive involvement in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a strong focus on accuracy and timelinessSupport external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests
Commission Accounting
Review and approve monthly sales commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commission plans and accounting policiesRecord commission-related accruals and ensure proper expense recognition
Cash Management & Accounts Payable
Perform daily and monthly cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash forecastingOversee bank account administration, from establishment through closureProcess accounts payable and other related functions, including vendor maintenance, approval workflows, and payment runsEnsure timely vendor payments and resolve discrepancies
Fixed Asset Accounting
Manage the fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairmentsReview capital expenditure requests for proper accounting treatmentPerform periodic fixed asset reconciliations and physical asset reviewsManage personal property tax filing process
Collaboration & Ownership
Take ownership of special projects and ad hoc analyses
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology environmentStrong hands-on experience with GAAPProven experience within accounts payable, cash management, and fixed asset accountingExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skillsHighly detail-oriented with strong ownership and accountabilityAbility to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time-management skillsClear communicator in a hybrid work settingProcess improvement mindset

Salary range:
The expected base salary for the Revenue Controller role is between $90,000 and $110,000; actual salary will be commensurate with a candidate's experience, skill and location.
