Food Service Specialist I
Job Summary
Performs food service tasks and other related duties in accordance with healthcare standards. Provides excellent customer service while serving guests. Under direct supervision, learns to perform a variety of food service functions including patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware wash, and dish machine operation in accordance with healthcare sanitation regulation.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
- Required for ALL
- Completion of on the job training in Food Service
- Able to perform a variety of food service functions including patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware wash, and dish machine operation in accordance with healthcare sanitation regulation.
- Required for Food Specialist II & III
- Ability to teach and train hires in designated area
- Required for Food Service Specialist III
- Hostess/Catering duties. Assists other members of Food & Nutrition services in patient meal tray service an related activities.
Certification/Licensure:
Required
Food Service Specialist I
- Texas Food Handler's Certification
- Must obtain within thirty (30) days of start date
