EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECH-BASIC

POSITION SUMMARY
- An EMT who, under the guidance of the ALS Liaison, the Medical Director and the Director of Emergency Services, functions as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic. This candidate will perform a variety of activities associated with SRMC's Ambulance Service.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Required:
  - Graduate of an approved Emergency Medical Technician - Basic program, with current certification practice as an EMT - B in North Carolina.
  - BCLS certification; recertification required annually. ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; recertifications required biannually.
  - EMS certification (EMT-B) by NCOEMS.
- Preferred:
  - TNCC Certification, or other approved trauma course.
