Manning Park Resort is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records across multiple departments of the resort.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile daily transactions from POS systems and payment platforms
- Verify and balance revenue from lodging, food and beverage, retail, and activity operations
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Process Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments
- Complete bank, cash, and clearing account reconciliations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and tip reports
- Maintain accuracy of the chart of accounts and accounting records
- Assist with internal and external audits and compliance requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of accounting experience (hospitality experience is an asset)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Experience with POS systems such as Silverware, Clover, Paradox, or similar
- Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
