Licensed Vocational Nurse
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level nursing duties. Assists the RN Transfer Coordinator with a variety of tasks including arranging outbound patient transfers and setting up ambulance transportation. Responsible for assigning new patients to the Hospitalist Service, maintaining an accurate and current Hospitalist rotation schedule, and communicating with physicians and other departments regarding new patient admissions.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) Program
Experience:
- Preferred
- Two or more years of experience in Nursing
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), with authorization to practice in the State of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
