Lead Software Test Engineer

SSI is seeking a Lead Software Test Engineer for a role in El Segundo, CA. If you like test planning, software test requirements, or just about anything software test in the Space and Ground systems work, then this could be the right job for you.
Role and Responsibilities include:
· Document program software test strategy and plans, software test scenarios, and software test requirements in development contractor contractual documents and Government program office documentation.
· Work with development contractors to ensure developmental software test objectives are consistent with applicable standards, instructions, and policy.
· Work with Government developmental and operational software test agencies/organizations to develop an adequate software test methodology consistent with the program manager’s expectations and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.
· Lead and/or participate in test working groups which plan, status, and discuss software test-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical degree pursuit and fourteen years of relevant experience:
- In technical programs, systems engineering and software test policy/execution of large-scale space-based and ground-based space systems and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems.
- With test planning and documentation development.
- With software test requirements development.
- With software test engineering process and tool development.
- With the Department of Defense Test & Evaluation.
- In-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
- Willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
- Minimum requirement is a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional and/or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.
Target salary range: $190,000 - $215,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range and bonus potential for this position based on experience and other factors.
