Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support our HR department in managing day-to-day operations. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives
- Support performance management processes, including reviews and documentation
- Coordinate employee engagement activities and company events
- Generate HR reports and assist with audits as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of HR experience preferred
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Preferred Skills
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR)
- Experience with benefits administration or recruiting
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Typically operates in an office or hybrid environment
- May require occasional overtime during peak HR cycles (e.g., open enrollment, audits)
