About The Signatry
The Signatry is a donor advised fund (DAF) sponsor, but we are more importantly a Christian ministry seeking to build the kingdom of God by inspiring world-changing generosity. Donor advised funds are the primary tools we use for this kingdom work.
Position Purpose
The Summer Finance Intern will be responsible for several tasks in support of the larger Finance team, especially around donor fund accounting for The Signatry donor advised funds and project support for the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance. This position will complete account reconciliations, review fees for advisor-managed accounts (AMAs), and work to ensure that accurate information is reported in our donor advised fund platform, Give Interactive.
Primary Responsibilities
- Completemonth end closing fortheadvisormanaged accountsactivity inGive Interactive,includingmaintainingan inventory of accounts,preparingand recording journal entries, completing financial data uploads,andcompleting accountreconciliations.
- Review fees charged on advisor managed accounts for accuracy.
- Support theChief FinancialOfficer and Finance Lead Teaminreview of financial policies,participatein Investment Committeemeetings,and other projects assigned by theteam.
- Partner with theDAF Operations Teamto ensurethat alladvisor managed accountactivity and investment positions areposted inGive Interactiveand reconciled to the brokerage account statementmonthly.
- Partner with multiple internal teams toidentify, report, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Provide support for obtaining and managing documentation for alternative investments. Assist the Director of Financebymaintainingalternative investment information in TheSignatry’sCRM platform.
- Work directly with the Director of FP&A to complete projectsincludinganalyzing and recommending theappropriate trackingof key expense management initiatives, completing routine maintenance ofmanagement reporting fields in accountingsystem, andowning several month-end reporting tasks associated with key metrics.
- Participate in annual financial statement audit preparationand monthly financial statement close reconciliation and documentation.
- Complete other assignments and projects as assigned
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Alignment with TheSignatryvalues and statement of faith
- Accounting or Finance major,enteringjunior or senior year preferred
- Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Effective communication skillsrequiredto convey information and analysis clearly
- Ability to complete research andwillingness topropose ideas andrecommendations
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detailandability tomeet deadlines
Work Location
This position is a full-time, hourly position located in our corporate office in Overland Park, KS. This position can be a hybrid position combining work from home and in office.
Pay Range
$16 an hour
