The Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) brings the expertise of surgical specialists from our area’s world-class pediatric institutions to a child-centered, convenient, outpatient surgery center in Northern Virginia.
We are experts in outpatient surgery just for children. Every procedure is staffed by a fellowship trained pediatric anesthesiologist with years of experience providing anesthesia care exclusively for children.
PSV has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to support their Ambulatory Surgery Center. PSV RN’s provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse and healthcare delivery team. This role is PRN Day Shift.
Job Description
The PACU RN’s duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring post-op patients during recovery in an outpatient setting
- Monitoring vital signs
- Administering necessary medications
- Pain assessment
- Educating patients and their families about homecare instructions
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in Virginia
- Graduated from an approved school of nursing
- Three (3) years OR, PACU, PICU, and/or NICU experience
- Current CPR certification
- All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam
