The Shop Manager is responsible for the machining and the compressor component repair operations at our branch in Weatherford, TX. This position is responsible for the timely execution, quality service and delivery of financial results from a cost perspective in line with company and customer expectations. Daily interaction with customers in regard to valve and machine service activities is a requirement, therefore good customer management and communication skills are required. Success in this position will be represented by an exceptional safety record for the assigned volume of technicians, large percentage of satisfied customers, low employee turnover rates and successfully maintaining mechanical as well as financial (cost) performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Direct day to day machining operations and compressor component repair.
- Communicates (teaches, trains, explains), complies, and promotes the company’s EHS policies.
- Recruits, hires, terminates, and evaluates technicians.
- Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Resolves employee conflicts.
- Participates, identifies, and promotes company’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Teaches, promotes, and executes the company’s service policies.
- Investigate and document major equipment failures. Recommends procedures to avoid repeat failures in the future to Management.
- Oversees the direction of all technicians.
- Communicates with the service coordinator as needed on the required corrective maintenance needs regarding scheduling and scope of work.
- Accountable for the quality of workmanship of technicians.
- Assist with development and execution of action plan for service activities.
- Manages the cost and repairs of shop equipment and other overhead expenses.
- Directs the technicians to provide technical assistance to customers.
- Responsible for the development of technicians.
- Responsible for directing the training of technicians on all service-related process improvements.
- Understand and enforce all safety procedures and practices.
- Create and maintain operational procedures.
- Champion efforts to improve profitability and NIBT.
- Provide quotes to the sales force.
- Adhere to and enforces all company policies and procedures.
- Direct office staff as needed to provide timely professional service to our customers.
