The Warehouse Forklift Operator will be responsible for general warehouse responsibilities to include inventory control, loss prevention, as well as shipping and receiving documentation. Must have sit-down forklift experience, be efficient, and have a clean driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize a forklift to oversee the preparation of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
- Load and unload goods to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles in an organized and efficient manner
- Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered
- Assist with the preparation of customer orders for warehouse pickups
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company's safe lifting practices and standard operating procedures
- Ensure that all safety procedures remain a priority by maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- MUST be a team player
- 1+ years of prior warehouse/forklift experience required
- Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Customer service skills and ability to represent the company in an appropriate manner
