University Physicians' Association is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a New Patient Coordinator at University Pulmonary & Critical Care (UPCC). This role is essential in ensuring a smooth intake process for new patients and improving clinic efficiency.

General Summary of Duties: The UPPC New Patient Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who facilitates new patient visit coordination for UCS. This position plans, coordinates and facilitates the care of new patients in UPPC to optimize the intake of patients and improve the throughput through the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and optimize new patient intake and scheduling
- Review upcoming clinics and organize medical records for providers
- Identify open appointment slots to improve access
- Coordinate necessary testing (imaging, pulmonary function, invasive procedures)
- Upload CT imaging into PACS
- Conduct clinical interviews to assess patient needs
- Support physicians with documentation and medical records
- Act as a patient advocate for prior authorizations and pharmacy requests
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
- Perform other duties as needed to support clinic operations

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a bachelor’s degree
- Strong understanding of nursing theory and patient care practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Experience with electronic medical records and patient coordination preferred
