We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising shop-floor activities, developing employees, enforcing safety and quality standards, and achieving production targets using data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations to meet established Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives.
- Direct and prioritize shop-floor activities, allocate labor and resources effectively, and coordinate with Leads to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
- Monitor and adjust production schedules using ERP/MRP systems to ensure accurate labor tracking, material availability, and on-time delivery.
- Track, analyze, and report key production KPIs, including but not limited to:
- Safety incidents and near-misses
- Quality metrics (scrap, rework, first-pass yield)
- Delivery performance (schedule adherence, on-time completion)
- Labor efficiency and overtime utilization
- Lead, train, and develop production employees through coaching, performance evaluations, and structured skills development plans. Promote cross-training to improve workforce flexibility.
- Address performance issues, non-conformance, and corrective actions promptly. Partner with Leads to drive accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Exercise supervisory authority in personnel actions, including hiring recommendations, disciplinary actions, and terminations, in accordance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control to investigate quality issues using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures at all times. Conduct routine safety audits, document hazards and unsafe behaviors, and lead corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Support and participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, standard work, waste reduction, visual management, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities.
- Monitor labor and material usage, control overtime, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide input to management on resource planning and operational improvements.
- Audit employee timecards daily and ensure accurate labor reporting within the ERP system and compliance with attendance and break policies.
- Communicate proactively with team members, scheduling, quality, engineering, and management to ensure alignment and timely resolution of production issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in workplace safety and experience enforcing safety programs.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling, labor tracking, and reporting.
- Experience tracking and managing production KPIs and using data to drive improvements.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience training and developing production employees is strongly preferred.
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based administrative work and regular presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment.
- PPE is required on the shop floor, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
Work Environment:
- Physically active role; indoor and outdoor settings
- Regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
