About The Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Nursing - AL department as a Resident Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life and care for residents through support and assistance with daily tasks. This opportunity is available for individuals seeking full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with flexible 8- and 12-hour shifts. Looking for several positions to fill including FT and PT first, PRN or PT second and third. What You'll Do
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Observe and report any changes in resident health or behavior to the nursing team promptly.
- Support residents with mobility assistance, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids.
- Ensure resident safety and a clean, comfortable living environment by maintaining housekeeping duties.
- Help facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that promote well-being and social interaction.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communication logs as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. (Will accept those in high school currently working towards a healthcare related goal)
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
- Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required with the eagerness to learn and grow with our team.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for others.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills to provide comprehensive support to residents.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 8- and 12-hour shifts based on the needs of the department as well as every other weekend and rotating holidays.
- Basic knowledge of resident hygiene, mobility, and safety procedures is an advantage.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and assisting residents as needed.
- Patience and empathy when providing care for cognitively impaired residents.
The pay range for this role is:15 - 16 USD per hour(Mansfield)
