As a Water Truck Driver, you’ll play an important role in the success of our grading operations. Working closely alongside your fellow team members on a variety of production tasks, your day-to-day work will include suppressing the dirt and dust that is kicked up around the grading and excavation operations. The water truck driver will operate a large tank truck that sprays water over large jobsites to decrease the various risks that come from dirt and dust in the air. Employee will transport water to job sites for various purposes like dust suppression, soil compaction, and general cleaning, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
1. Safely operates a 2000K-4000K gallon water truck.
2. Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
3. Able to operate a tanker truck in a safe manner.
4. Performs all pre-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
5. Properly lifts and maneuvers hoses on and off the tanker truck to load and unload water.
6. Hooks up and disconnects trailers as required.
7. Ability to drive through all weather, road and traffic conditions.
8. Responsible for driving a truck filled with water to various job sites.
9. Employee will assist with water control to minimize dust control, soil compaction, or mixing with materials like concrete. The water truck is used to spray water on the construction site to keep the dust down and reduce air pollution.
10. Will work with stabilization and compaction process to include, cementer line add water for moisture.
11. GHO to water source, connect hose, fil out sites.
12. Use PTO System and Numatics.
13. Operate public road
14. Loading truck, verify volume, know when to disburse water and usage.
15. Water is often used to keep materials moist during construction, such as when filling trenches, compacting soil, or when preparing the foundation.
16. Driver will be required to deliver water to these specific areas of the site.
17. The driver is responsible for ensuring the truck is in good working condition. This includes checking the water tank, pumps, and hoses for proper functionality. Regular maintenance is key to avoid breakdowns during work.
18. Driver will operate the water truck’s pump and hose to distribute water where it's needed. This might require maneuvering the hoses to specific locations on the site to include carrying up to 50lb.
19. The driver works closely with site supervisors to ensure that water is delivered to the right areas at the right time, keeping construction work on track.
20. Washing equipment and machinery for continuous use.
21. Observe all company and customer policies and safety requirements.
22. All other duties as assigned.
