About Mount Prospect Academy
Founded in 2003, MPA is a nonprofit dedicated to helping adolescents discover a “zest for life” and succeed in the “business of life.” We specialize in serving youth with complex behavioral and mental health needs through trauma-informed care, residential programs, and experiential learning.

To provide a caring, safe therapeutic environment where students can grow, self-regulate, and develop confidence and competency.
Your Role:
As an Awake Overnight Counselor, you'll provide overnight supervision and support for youth in our care, ensuring safety and stability during critical hours. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and supporting students overnight
- Assisting with bedtime and morning routines
- Providing crisis support and maintaining a safe environment
- Documenting incidents and progress accurately
- Building positive, trusting relationships
Benefits
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree OR 60 college credits OR 2 years of experience working with youth OR 7 years of parenting experience
- Valid driver's license preferred & 21+ years of age
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successful completion of background checks
