Position Summary
|
|
The CT Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist, performs the specific section procedures with high quality. The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the imaging equipment for production of high-quality images. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as requested.

The imaging department provides diagnostic CT imaging services within the health care facility to patients in need.

|
Qualifications
|
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT.
|
|
|
- Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
|
- Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education.
|
- Ability to operate equipment within the department.
|
- Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.

Responsibilities & Expectations
|
- Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.
|
- Properly position patients for high image quality.
|
- Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department.
|
- Review each examination for quality.
|
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.
|
- Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual.
|
- Explain exams/procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
|
- Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures.
|
- Maintain Aultman attendance standards.
|

Working Conditions
|
- Hours may vary as required by job. Weekends and holidays per facility need.
|
- Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
|
- Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage.
|
- Cross training in areas of the department as required.
|
- Colleagues may be assigned to different locations within the foundation.
|
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
