About the role
SecureIT is seeking a People Operations Partner to support the day-to-day execution of core human resources programs and provide operational HR support to managers and employees across the organization.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this role plays an important part in ensuring HR processes run smoothly and consistently across the organization. The People Operations Partner supports employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, performance management processes, benefits administration, and HR operations.
This role works closely with employees and managers to ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently while supporting a positive and productive workplace environment.
What you'll do
HR Partnership
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
- Support managers in addressing employee concerns and escalate complex matters to the Senior Director of Human Resources when appropriate.
- Promote consistent application of company policies and reinforce organizational values across teams.
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters including performance concerns, workplace issues, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Support the review and documentation of employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Escalate complex employee relations matters to the Senior Director of Human Resources as appropriate.
Performance Management
- Support the administration of SecureIT’s performance management processes and timelines.
- Assist managers with documentation related to performance discussions and improvement plans.
- Track completion of performance reviews and follow-up with managers as needed.
Talent Management
- Support hiring managers and the recruiting team throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Support employee development discussions and assist managers with development planning.
- Monitor employee engagement and retention indicators and escalate concerns when appropriate.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs, skills gaps, and development opportunities across teams.
- Support the coordination and delivery of internal training and development initiatives.
- Contribute to onboarding and employee development programs that support long-term growth within the company.
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain employee data and records within HR systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Support HR reporting and workforce analytics to assist leadership with workforce insights.
- Assist with HR process documentation and ensure HR procedures are consistently followed.
- Assist with benefits administration including employee enrollments, responding to employee inquiries, and supporting annual plan renewals.
- Support internal HR audits and compliance tracking where required.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally in an HR Generalist capacity.
- Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment law and organizational development.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Benefits and Leave Administration, Compensation and Total Rewards, Training and Development and Employee Engagement best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization.
- Ability to coach and influence leaders while maintaining a collaborative approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters.
Certifications:
- Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
** Please note: This is a hybrid role. We are looking for an individual who lives in the DMV area and can be in office at least 3 days a week.
