Project Manager - Electrical
About this role:
We're seeking a Project Manager skilled in planning, manpower forecasting, and budget management to collaborate directly with clients and ensure top-tier safety and quality compliance. Your expertise will drive project success, timely completion, and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Participate in project hand-off with pre-construction team.
· Prepare and track project deliverables, including submittals, shop drawings, procurement schedules and project close-out documents.
· Develop and maintain project schedules.
· Establish and manage project budgets to ensure consistent successful financial outcomes.
· Effectively manage construction activities including coordination, layout, manpower allocation and conflict resolution.
· Perform detailed itemized take-offs.
· Create, manage and negotiate project scope change proposals.
· Create, manage and track RFI’s.
· Ensure compliance and adherence to all company policies, including all safety and productivity guidelines.
· Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and internal teams to ensure all project goals are met.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Location and Travel:
· This role is in our Justin, TX office, Monday-Friday when not traveling to project sites
- This role can be remote / hybrid with travel to project sites as well as Knight Electric offices.
· This role will have travel responsibilities, up to 75% to projects in various locations throughout the US.
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years managing projects in the electrical construction industry.
- Extensive experience with materials and equipment used in commercial electrical projects.
- Previous field experience in the electrical construction trade.
- Ability to travel at any time to project(s) located at various locations nationwide.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are necessary as well as MS Office applications.
- Successful background in collaborating with customers, vendors, employees, and partners to solve related issues.
- Proficiency in software tools Bluebeam, Procore or similar in the electrical construction industry.
- Must comply with our Conduct and Appearance Standards, which reflect Company image.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Additional Requirements:
- Previous Journeyman or Masters License is preferred.
- Projects managed to include remodels or retrofits with big-box retail customers is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
· This role will have a base salary and bonus potential between $110,00 - $150,000 annual compensation
· Full Medical, Dental, 401(k), vehicle allowance and other benefits
