About this role:
We are currently looking for a Traveling Electricians to work and lead commercial electrical construction projects. Experience in commercial new construction and remodels is a plus.
You can live in any city in Texas and travel to job site. Travel is paid along with per diem and mileage (drive time too).
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $35.00 per hour pending experience and active state electrical license.
- Travel expenses paid.
Travel:
- On average 2–3-week sprints and back for a weekend.
- Most projects are in Texas with some locations in nearby states.
- Housing (Airbnb) is paid by company, travel to and from project is covered as well as per diem.
Duties / Expectations:
- Advanced knowledge of electrical theory
- Understands and applies NEC code knowledge
- Basic understanding of NEC calculations
- Able to perform any type of bend with all bender types
- Installs raceways, boxes, and cables
- Assist with wire pulling activities
- Installs light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
- Assists with installation of switchboards
- Installs panels, breakers, and transformers
- Connects branch circuits including terminations and panels and equipment
- Performs basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of various control systems and components
- Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Formal trade school or apprentice program completion preferred
- 4000+ Hours of electrician experience
- Valid state issued Driver’s License
- Current state Electrical Apprentice license
- When required by State Licensing entity
- Current OSHA 10 certificate
