Position Summary
The Summer Education Aide assists with the summer education program designed to provide education and structural programming during the summer months. A Summer Education Aide learns to demonstrate a variety of de-escalation and supportive skills which fosters a trusting, supportive relationships with the children. The Summer Education Aide will be actively participating in a variety of educational program needs, including, but not limited to, classroom learning and activities, assisting in facilitating group activities, and other programming needs.
Job Duties / Essential Functions
- Assist in providing daily, weekly and summer education programming.
- Complete all reporting and record keeping in a professional manner and in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a support person for the residential houses in times of need.
- Both assist and lead in facilitating small and large group activities.
- Assist with supervision and transport of clients to and from the milieu and school.
Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)
- High School Diploma required.
- Pursuant of an Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Successful completion a physical and drug screen, Criminal Record History Clearance, and a Child Abuse History Clearance.
- Ability to obtain SCM certification and CPR/First Aid certification during New Associate Orientation.
Shifts Available
Position located in Orefield, PA
Full time, Monday through Friday, 7AM-3PM
Training (Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM)
May 11th OR May 26th
