POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Business Development Associate supports revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients. The role is focused on outbound outreach, and support of a fast-paced sales environment and reports to the Manager of Sales Strategy and Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development & Sales Support
- Identify and research prospective clients across target markets, including corporate events, tradeshows, venues, and experiential activations.
- Support outbound sales efforts through email, phone, and event-based outreach.
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule discovery calls or meetings in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and opportunities in CRM tools.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads and elevate brand visibility.
- Assist in preparing proposals, pricing summaries, and client presentations.
- Support follow-up communication with prospective and existing clients.
Market & Pipeline Support
- Track and report on pipeline activity, lead conversion, and outreach efforts.
- Conduct relevant market research on industries, events, and potential partners.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation qualified meetings.
- Support seasonal and event-driven sales initiatives (e.g., tradeshow calendars, venue partnerships)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with operations, , client services and the client experience teams to ensure accurate service understanding.
- Support internal handoffs once business is confirmed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·1-3 years of experience in business development, sales or account support or a related role.
- Comfortable with outbound outreach and relationship-based selling
- Effective communication skills and people skills
- Critical thinking skills, strong critical thinking skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working with CRM system (FreshSales), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in a professional setting.
Ability to travel to locations across the United States
The pay range for this role is:55,000 - 65,000 USD per year(HQ)
