Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in finding, maintaining, and growing in meaningful, integrated employment.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the community, believes in person-centered support, and wants to see the real-world impact of their work—every single day.What You’ll DoAs a Job Coach, you’ll walk alongside clients throughout their employment journey—from discovery to long-term success.You will:Assess clients’ strengths, interests, abilities, and potential barriers to employmentSupport job development, placement, and short- and long-term job coachingAssist with resumes, applications, interviews, and workplace onboardingProvide on-the-job coaching, mentoring, verbal prompts, and redirection as neededAdvocate for client needs, including identifying and supporting ADA accommodationsHelp clients integrate socially into workplace culture and build internal supportsConduct job analyses and break down daily job tasks for successCommunicate regularly with clients, employers, and VR CounselorsComplete required documentation, progress reports, and invoicing accurately and on timeBuild and maintain partnerships with local businesses (including in-person outreach and cold calling)Transport clients to and from job sites as neededRepresent OPPO professionally as a trusted community partnerAttend required trainings, staff meetings, and presentationsWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum QualificationsExcellent communication and organizational skillsHonest, motivated, dependable, and solution-orientedAt least 6 months of experience working with people with disabilitiesExperience with mentoring, coaching, or teachingValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clientsAbility to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days (company-sponsored)MUST HAVE Current ACRE certificationPreferred Qualifications1+ year of experience working with people with disabilitiesAdditional experience in mentoring, coaching, or teachingPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers using proper techniques and equipmentWhy Work at OPPO?At OPPO, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live, work, and thrive in their community.
