Job Summary:
Set up, program, and operate CNC, manual milling, and lathe machines to produce precision components for industrial equipment projects. Ensure all parts meet technical specifications, quality standards, and production timelines. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support efficient manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling and lathe machines for production, replacement, and prototype parts
- Perform manual machining operations (milling, turning, drilling, tapping) as required
- Interpret electronic mechanical-drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to produce parts to specification
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or setups as needed
- Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives in machining processes
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in machining preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in CNC machining and manual milling/lathe operations
- Proficient in CNC programming using a foundational understanding/knowledge of G-code and experiential knowledge of CAM software utilization and application for machine setup and part manufacturing
- Experience with manual machining equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with Solidworks or similar CAD software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of industrial health and safety
