Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a concrete crew in daily field operations
Schedule and assign tasks to maximize team productivity
Conduct crew training on project requirements, including print reading
Oversee all phases of concrete work: set up, mixing, pouring, finishing
Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate execution
Ensure proper installation of formwork and rebar per project standards
Inspect final surfaces and direct necessary corrections
Maintain safety on site and enforce OSHA regulations
Promote a strong safety culture; stop work when unsafe conditions exist
Implement and uphold quality control protocols
Manage truck, materials, tools, and equipment for crew needs
Track labor hours, material usage, and ensure budget adherence
Maintain daily logs and timesheets
Serve as main point of contact for field communication
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and office staff
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial concrete construction with team leadership
High school diploma or GED required
Strong knowledge of all phases of concrete work and field operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Proven experience managing crews and enforcing safety procedures
Detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in documentation and reporting
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to train, coach, and manage jobsite crews effectively
