The Facilities staff consists of a director of Facilities, electrician, boiler operator, painter, day operators, night shift operators, and groundskeeper with the purpose of maintaining the equipment, upkeep and security of multiple facilities. All services are performed with the concern and safety, comfort and quality of care in mind for the patients, visitors, and staff.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One to three years' related work experience desired.
Some responsibilities include:
Installation of various types of equipment
Repairing machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with operations manual specifications
Observe mechanical devices in operation and locate causes of trouble
Perform duties in an accurate and precise manner in emergency situations
Ability to read blueprints or drawings
Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and carpentry relative to various duties
Ability to work without supervision
Possess an awareness of hospital and clinic systems and procedures, location of departments, and plant operations
Demonstrates understanding of emergency procedures
