EKG Monitor TechnicianSaint Anthony Hospital - EKG Monitor Technician
Position Purpose: The EKG Monitor Technician contributes to providing quality patient care under the direct supervision of a RN by performing a variety of functions including the reading of EKG strips, transcribing of physician orders into the order entry system, as well as unit administrative, receptionist and clerical duties.
General Job Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an approved EKG or related program or have received appropriate and related training
- CPR Certification required
- Able to monitor, report, document and provide arrhythmia interpretation
- Able to monitor and manage Telemetry supplies and equipment
- Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Customer service training with good phone etiquette
- Prior experience providing data and/or order entry
- Medical Terminology training ideal
- Full vaccination against Covid-19 required
- Current vaccination against Influenza
