Job Summary
The Medical Assistant supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. This position performs both clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience.
Essential Job Functions

Prepare patients for exams, take histories, and record vital signs.

Assist providers with procedures, injections, and minor surgeries.

Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.

Collect and process lab specimens and perform basic tests.

Schedule tests and treatments and support chart preparation.

Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and required compliance logs.

Participate in trainings, safety programs, and quality improvement efforts.

Support CHS's mission and Patient Centered Medical Home standards.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
-
High School Diploma or GED required.

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.

Bi-annual BLS Certification required.
Experience
-
1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Experience with mental health or substance use disorders a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Exposure to typical clinical conditions in a moderate-paced environment.
