About Flourish Care
Flourish Community Care is an early-stage, VC-backed health-tech company on a mission to eliminate preventable maternal morbidity. We deliver trusted, community-based care (both in-home and virtual) that is deeply integrated with health and social care systems. Our work improves access, outcomes, and equity for every birthing person.
Our vision is a future where every family receives personalized, preventative maternal care. This future is powered by a national network of local doulas and a real-time data engine that drives better outcomes, informs smarter healthcare decisions, and unlocks value-based care at scale. Having already supported thousands of families across New England, we are now expanding nationally and building the foundational technology to power this next stage of growth.
We are seeking people who embody our core values:
•Advocating for Families, putting them at the Center of Everything We Do
•Building Trust through Empathy
•Representing the Communities We Serve
•Leading with Integrity
•Deliver High-quality, personalized care
•Thrive through Connection & Collaboration
The Opportunity
This is more than an operations role—it is an opportunity to own and scale the workflow engine that powers our care delivery model.
As Product Operations Manager, you will sit at the intersection of clinical operations, patient experience, product, and engineering, acting as the Product Owner for internal workflows, automations, and integrations. You will translate real-world operational and clinical needs into scalable systems.
Reporting to the COO and partnering closely with Patient Engagement, Clinical Operations, Community Development and Engineering, you will own prioritization, requirements, and delivery for our internal systems. You will also step in as a lightweight implementation manager for early integrations with health systems, payers, and referral partners—building repeatable playbooks that scale.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives as a builder-operator, enjoys turning complexity into elegant systems, and wants their work to directly improve maternal health outcomes.
What you'll do
Own Workflow Automation & Systems:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable low-code workflows to support referrals, onboarding, scheduling, patient engagement, provider operations, billing, and reporting.
- Partner with Engineering to determine when low-code workflows should evolve into full-code solutions.
Product Ownership:
- Serve as Product Owner for internal tools, workflows, and integrations.
- Own and manage the backlog, balancing clinical, operational, patient, and technical needs.
- Gather requirements from Patient Experience, Clinical Leadership, Billing/RCM, Operations, and Engineering.
- Write clear user stories, workflow specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Set priorities based on patient impact, operational efficiency, scalability, and engineering effort.
Cross-functional Execution:
- Serve as the connective tissue between Ops, Clinical, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Translate real-world care delivery needs into structured, buildable workflows.
- Lead QA, rollout, and change management for new workflows and system updates.
- Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, and playbooks for internal systems.
Integrations and Implementation:
- Project manage the onboarding of new partners (OB practices, health systems, payers, referral sources).
- Develop an onboarding playbook
- Provide technical support for early integrations
What you'll bring
- 3–6+ years of experience in product operations, workflow automation, implementation, business systems, or product owner roles, ideally in healthcare or tech-enabled services.
- Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms (Keragon strongly preferred; Zapier, Make, Workato, or similar) and AI Coding for Prototyping (Cursor, Loveable, etc.)
- Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to map complex workflows and edge cases.
- Experience owning a backlog, prioritizing work, and writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Comfort working with APIs, integrations, and data flows (coding not required but a strong plus).
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A builder’s mindset: pragmatic, resourceful, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and biased toward action.
- Passion for maternal health, health equity, and improving care delivery through better systems.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Healthie, Tellescope, Keragon, Airtable, or similar healthcare/ops platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, care delivery models, or value-based care.
- Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
- Experience with analytics, reporting, or basic SQL to monitor workflow performance.
- Prior experience in implementation, customer success engineering, or technical onboarding roles.
- Experience building on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- A can-do spirit towards frontend development, potentially augmented with modern AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Remote opportunity - (Rhode Island Location - Preferred)
