The Opportunity
We're hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline growth by identifying, developing, and qualifying new business opportunities in commercial and high-value residential markets.
In this role, you'll own the top of the funnelbuilding relationships, sourcing qualified leads, and setting up enterprise opportunities for our Account Executives to close.

Territory Overview
- Primary Market: Greater Tucson metropolitan area.
- Base of Operations: Tucson office.
- Coverage Area: ~50-miles around Tucson.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and target high-potential commercial and premium residential clients.
- Execute strategies across direct contact, networking, and referrals.
- Qualify prospects and schedule meetings for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM and sales tracking systems.
- Sales Pipeline Development
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align outreach and closing strategies.
- Monitor pipeline movement to ensure consistent opportunity flow.
- Strategic Relationship Building
- Develop relationships with property owners, managers, contractors, and referral partners.
- Represent Occidental Roofing professionally in networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Market Intelligence
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights.
- Share market feedback to help refine outreach and sales strategies.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure seamless lead and project handoffs.
- Provide regular pipeline updates and activity reports to sales leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
OR
- 5+ years of sales or direct marketing experience.
- 3+ years in enterprise sales or business development.
- Proven success generating qualified leads and building pipelines.
- Proven track record of closing high-ticket deals and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tech tools.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- A startup mindset: high energy, adaptability, ownership mentality.
Preferred
- Experience in roofing, construction, or home improvement.
- Bilingual (Spanish a plus).
- Knowledge of the Tucson and Southern Arizona market.
